The personal data you provide in this Form and in your curriculum vitae will be used for the purposes of assessing your current job application with SMU.
We will collect and use the personal data that you have provided to facilitate the processing of your application for employment purposes at SMU. If you are providing someone else’s personal data, you hereby declare that you have obtained consent from the named individual(s) in this Form, for the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal data by you to SMU.
Please note that the personal data you provide may be used by third party service providers that SMU may engage from time to time to enable us to process your application. These third parties may be located outside of Singapore to carry out some of the processing and administrative functions for SMU and would be, under a duty of care and contractually bound, to maintain the appropriate levels of security and confidentiality and only use the personal data as instructed by SMU.
The personal data held by SMU relating to job applicants will be kept strictly confidential. SMU may collect personal data through other sources for processing and evaluating your application for employment. If your application is successful, the personal data will be used in the administration of your employment with SMU.
As part of assessing your suitability to work with SMU, we may use your personal data to conduct reference checks. If necessary, SMU may provide your personal data to Ministries, public agencies, statutory boards or other similar organisations in Singapore, for evaluating your application. For such regulatory requirements, SMU is required to collect your NRIC/FIN/Passport details to be able to accurately establish or verify the identities of the individuals to a high degree of fidelity.
If your application is unsuccessful, SMU will retain your personal data up to six (6) months from the date of the submission of this Form for administrative purpose.
